Description

Ji Fanyin realized the moment she transmigrated over that she was a stand-in, a substitute for her younger twin sister, Ji Xinxin. “Sure, I can be her stand-in. Here is my list of prices. Take a look at it first, and make sure to reserve a slot in advance. I won’t accept any last-minute calls, and do take note that it’ll only be a platonic relationship. Thank you for your cooperation,” she said. In a western restaurant, a rich young master looked at her with eyes filled with affection as he said, “Xinxin, I would like to ask you out for a movie tomorrow night…” An alarm suddenly went off. Ji Fanyin took a glance at her phone before reining in her business smile, saying, “Time’s up. I need to rush for my next appointment. Make sure to foot the tab, and farewell.” The rich young master’s smile froze up. “I’ll reserve four hours for tomorrow’s movie.” In the middle of the night, a drunk, tyrannical young master dialed her number and whined, “Big sis, when will you come over to meet me?” “In order to ensure the quality of service, this call will be recorded. It’s four in the morning right now, and my services will be ten times the usual price. Are you certain you want to proceed?” asked Ji Fanyin. “… Hurry up and start acting!” Ji Fanyin’s phone suddenly rang in the midst of a date with a domineering CEO at Tokyo’s tower. With a smile on her lips, she rejected the call and said, “Sorry, it’s another customer.” “… I’ll pay you ten times the price. Switch off your phone.” … By the time Ji Xinxin finally returned back to the country, Ji Fanyin successfully retired from the scenes with the massive fortune she had amassed. Heh, bad women will never get hurt!

100,000/Hour Professional Stand-in Review & Spoilers - Novel Translator

## My Thoughts on 100,000/Hour Professional Stand-in ### First Impressions The premise of "100,000/Hour Professional Stand-in" immediately grabbed my attention: a transmigrated actress charging an exorbitant hourly rate to impersonate a socialite's twin sister? Yes, please! It felt fresh, a little morally grey, and potentially hilarious. Diving in, I was eager to see how this unique setup would play out, and for the most part, I wasn't disappointed. ### What Works Well What I particularly enjoyed was the protagonist, Ji Fanyin. She's pragmatic, goal-oriented, and refreshingly unapologetic about her pursuit of wealth. I found her cunning and business-minded approach fascinating, especially how she created a whole system around her unusual profession, complete with questionnaires and scheduled appointments. It's rare to find a female lead who's so openly ambitious and detached, and I appreciated the author's willingness to embrace that. I also appreciated how the MC never really developed any feelings for the suitors, and how they eventually realized that their initial treatment of the original body was wrong. The story is well-written, with plot holes being addressed at some point throughout the novel. The humor is subtle, but still balances well with the realistic descriptions of the plot. All characters are carefully though out, with even extras appearing more than once throughout the novel. ### Areas of Concern While I enjoyed the overall story, the ending felt a bit rushed and some of the plot developments seemed convenient. I found the romance with Chen Yunsheng to be underdeveloped, and I didn't quite buy their connection. I felt that the romance was shallow, and that the male lead wasn't involved as much as I would have liked him to be. The ending of the male characters was strange, and it felt too strange that two strong males would get sick from being psychologically triggered, due to the love of a woman. ### ⚠️ Spoiler Warning Several readers have mentioned that the reveal of Shen Qi's true nature as a god-like figure was a bit out of left field and unnecessary. While I appreciate the author's attempt to tie up loose ends, this particular plot point felt forced and didn't quite mesh with the rest of the story. Also, the ending where the MC makes $10 billion and returns to her original world, while the original body returns to her original world, felt like a disappointment to me. ### Final Verdict Despite some flaws in the ending, "100,000/Hour Professional Stand-in" is still an enjoyable and unique read. The strong female lead, the morally ambiguous premise, and the overall comedic tone make it a refreshing addition to the transmigration genre. If you're looking for a novel with a cunning protagonist who prioritizes her goals above all else, and you don't mind a bit of a rushed ending, I'd recommend giving this one a try.
