Description

Yu Jin yelled, “I curse you, the woman you like in this life will not like you!” “He he,” Mo Feichen was a bit unsteady on his feet before he stood up leisurely. “Shi Xiong, there are not only women in this world, there are also men!” At that time, Mo Feichen did not expect that his joking words would really become true. In this lifetime, he has been “tossed around” by several men and it’s indeed unbearable*

Flying Dust Review & Spoilers - Novel Translator

## My Thoughts on Flying Dust "Flying Dust" is quite the mixed bag, and my experience with it reflects that. It's a wuxia BL novel with harem elements, but whether you'll enjoy it seems to depend heavily on what you're looking for. ### First Impressions Initially, I was intrigued by the premise of a lazy, modern-day soul transmigrating into a wuxia world. The protagonist's initial apathy and desire to be a "salted fish" (a term I've definitely adopted) resonated with me. I found his interactions with his sect members and his general lack of ambition quite amusing. ### What Works Well The translation is undeniably well-done, which is a huge plus. The writing quality itself is a step above many web novels I've encountered. The author clearly has a good grasp of language, and I appreciated the effort put into crafting the world and its characters. I did enjoy the concept of a martial artist's 'sword seed' and the way the characters were fleshed out, even the side ones. ### Areas of Concern However, as I delved deeper, some issues started to surface. The plot felt somewhat directionless, almost as if it was being written on the fly without a clear endgame in sight. This lack of focus made it difficult to stay invested in the story. The MC's sudden power-ups also felt a bit contrived, and his appeal to multiple love interests seemed forced at times. I also have to admit, the chemistry between the MC and one of the main love interests, the Shifu, felt a bit lacking. ### ⚠️ Spoiler Warning There's a harem situation where the MC eventually chooses one person at the end. One of the side characters, Yujin, is an important brother figure to the MC who ends up joining the evil sect for personal reasons. ### Final Verdict Ultimately, "Flying Dust" is a flawed but potentially enjoyable read. If you're a fan of wuxia BL with harem elements and don't mind a somewhat meandering plot, you might find something to like here. However, if you prefer a tightly plotted story with well-defined character motivations, this might not be the novel for you. I'm giving it a tentative 3 out of 5 stars. It has potential, but it needs a bit more focus and polish to truly shine.
