The Whole World Is My Crematorium Review & Spoilers - Novel Translator

## My Thoughts on *The Whole World Is My Crematorium* This novel was quite the ride! With a title like that, I knew I was in for some angst, but I wasn't quite prepared for the layers of plot and complex character relationships that unfolded. I went in expecting a straightforward "wife-chasing crematorium" scenario, and while that element is definitely present, it's interwoven with a much larger narrative. ### First Impressions The initial chapters definitely set the stage for the crematorium aspect. We're introduced to several characters who mistreat the MC in various ways, and you can feel the setup for their eventual regret. What surprised me, though, was that the MC wasn't a complete pushover. He possesses a certain cynicism and awareness, largely due to an internal "system" that guides and warns him. This made him a more compelling character from the start. ### What Works Well One of the strongest aspects of this novel is its plot. Nothing feels random; every character and event seems to have a purpose that gets revealed later on. I found the mysteries engaging, and the reveals often caught me off guard. The MC's personality is also a highlight. He's not your typical sweet or gentle protagonist. He's ruthless, thick-faced, and even a bit cold at times, which I found refreshing. The characters felt realistic, with normal selfish thoughts, and aren't always doing good simply because they are MCs. I also appreciated that it wasn't a harem, and the final pairing felt earned and well-developed. ### Areas of Concern While I enjoyed the MC's pragmatism, there were moments when I felt he was a bit too harsh, especially towards one of the potential love interests who didn't seem to deserve quite as much scorn. Also, the MC's obliviousness to the romantic feelings directed his way felt a little contrived at times. He is unable to tell that ANY of the MLs have genuine feelings for him even when it is so goddamn obvious which made me roll my eyes and disconnect from the novel because it seems illogical. ### ⚠️ Spoiler Warning Okay, if you haven't read the novel, skip this part! I was happy with the final pairing with Gu Louyin. He was the least scummy of the bunch, and his relationship with the MC felt the most genuine. The way the "system" was revealed and its connection to the overall plot was also a clever twist. ### Final Verdict Overall, I found *The Whole World Is My Crematorium* to be a very satisfying read. It's not perfect, but it offers a compelling plot, complex characters, and a unique take on the crematorium genre. If you're looking for a novel with angst, mystery, and a protagonist who isn't afraid to be ruthless, I highly recommend giving this one a try. I'd rate it a solid 4.5 out of 5 stars.
