Kamishiro Kanna was summoned to another world to be a hero, but the one who summoned him was a scheming princess, and when his mana measurement showed 0, he was to be gotten rid of. Together with an half-elf kyonyuu silver haired bishoujo he met in the palace’s prison, they escaped on a dragon she summoned. The thing Kanna didn’t know was that 3 days after his escape from the palace, the princess did another summoning and summoned 3 high school students who happened to be his close friends.

Kanna no Kanna Review & Spoilers - Novel Translator

## My Thoughts on Kanna no Kanna "Kanna no Kanna" is a web novel that immediately grabbed my attention with its unique take on the isekai genre. It's not a perfect story, but it's a refreshing read that kept me engaged. While it has it's flaws, I found it to be a worthwhile read. ### First Impressions Right off the bat, I appreciated that the main character, Kanna, isn't your typical overpowered or dense isekai protagonist. He's clever and resourceful, and his initial goal of simply returning to Japan felt grounded and relatable. The story dives right in, but the initial world-building feels a little lacking. I was immediately curious to see how Kanna would navigate this new world. ### What Works Well What I enjoyed most was Kanna's personality. He's not afraid to make tough choices and isn't held back by a naive sense of justice. The action scenes are exciting because Kanna isn't invincible; he has to rely on his wits and allies to survive. The relationships between Kanna and the supporting cast are also a highlight. The "harem" aspect is present, but the relationships develop organically, and the female characters have their own lives and motivations. I also appreciated the humor sprinkled throughout the story, which kept things lighthearted without detracting from the overall plot. Many readers have praised the author for the well-developed characters, and I agree. ### Areas of Concern While I enjoyed the story, I did notice some recurring issues. The main plot regarding Kanna's role in this world felt underdeveloped at times. I also found the author's writing difficult to understand in some places. The story also has a habit of using the misunderstanding trope to push the plot forward. I also feel like the romance aspect of the story can feel forced. ### ⚠️ Spoiler Warning Some reviews mentioned a specific plot point involving a heroine being brainwashed and forced into a marriage. This event apparently led to some backlash from readers due to its execution, with some considering it a forced genius arc. ### Final Verdict Despite its flaws, "Kanna no Kanna" is a solid isekai novel that I would recommend to fans of the genre. The clever protagonist, engaging action, and well-developed relationships make it a worthwhile read. While the main plot and writing style could use some improvement, the overall experience is enjoyable. I'm giving it a 4 out of 5 stars, with the hope that the author will address some of the concerns raised by readers in future updates.
