Description

The cousin isn’t called Biao Ge. He has his own name. His name is Cheng Jinyu. From the phrase—– Wo Jin Huai Yu (to hold and cherish a beautiful jade; a person with good moral values), it’s the name his father gave him. But Chen Yuze calls him Biao Ge, so Biao Ge became his name. Biao Ge has a sworn enemy, his name is Gu Bokai. Biao Ge doesn’t know how he provoked this person. He detested himself very much. Like being disgusted with sh*t in a garbage can. However one day Biao Ge was told to marry Gu Bokai. As for the reason, because Biao Ge’s life is hard! Gu Bo Kai has married three times and now has three dead wives… Gu Bo Kai: No, absolutely not! Mother Gu: First cry, second stir up trouble, third hang oneself (throwing a temper tantrum). Continue to get married, or I die and let you see. Gu Bo Kai: Why? Mother Gu: He is tough, can avoid being killed by you and can also have children. (Shou and Gong have no kinship. Biao Ge (older male cousin) is what others call this person. It’s like a name.)

The Life After Marrying My Sworn Enemy Review & Spoilers - Novel Translator

## My Thoughts on *The Life After Marrying My Sworn Enemy* ### First Impressions Okay, so *The Life After Marrying My Sworn Enemy* is definitely a wild ride. I went into it expecting a fluffy enemies-to-lovers romance, and while there are elements of that, it's also a hefty dose of family drama and business intrigue. The initial setup is… intense. The MC is basically forced into a marriage with someone he dislikes to pay off debts, and the circumstances surrounding it are pretty messed up. It grabbed my attention right away, but I wasn't entirely sure where it was going. ### What Works Well I have to admit, the sheer drama of this novel is addictive. It's like a soap opera in web novel form, and sometimes you just need that kind of brainless entertainment. The author doesn't shy away from piling on the misunderstandings and crazy situations, and even though it can be a bit much, it kept me turning the pages. I also appreciated the MC's character. Despite his difficult circumstances, he's portrayed as selfless and determined, which made me root for him. Plus, the male lead, with his tsundere tendencies, is undeniably charming once their relationship starts to develop. ### Areas of Concern While the drama is entertaining, it can also be a bit much. I felt like the plot sometimes sacrificed logic for the sake of creating more conflict, and some of the characters felt a little flat. The pacing also felt rushed at times, especially towards the end, which left me wanting more from the romance and the resolution of certain plot points. I also felt the ending was a bit too neatly wrapped up, with some characters undergoing sudden changes to fit the happy ending. ### ⚠️ Spoiler Warning Okay, things get *weird*. There's a whole plot twist involving the MC's parentage that comes out of nowhere near the end. Apparently, the MC's uncle is actually his father, and his father is actually his mother. Apparently the father got pregnant even though this is not an ABO world. Yeah, it's a lot to take in, and it definitely contributes to the "all over the place" feeling some readers have mentioned. ### Final Verdict Overall, *The Life After Marrying My Sworn Enemy* is a flawed but entertaining read. It's not going to win any awards for literary brilliance, but if you're looking for a dramatic, fast-paced story with a bit of romance and a whole lot of crazy, you might enjoy it. Just be prepared to suspend your disbelief and embrace the chaos. I'd give it a solid 3 out of 5 stars.
